This policy explains what information the mobile game Dead End: Escape (the "Game") collects, how it is used and the choices you have.

Information we collect

The Game does not ask for your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. Your progress (levels, stars, coins, survivors, pets, items and settings) is saved on your device.

Google Play Games (optional sign-in)

If you sign in with Google Play Games, Google shares your Play Games player ID and gamer name with the Game. These are used to:

Play Games is run by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. Your Play Games profile visibility is controlled in the Google Play Games app.

Game leaderboards (Google Firebase)

The Game's own leaderboards use Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore). When you play online, the Game creates an anonymous guest account (a random ID, with no email or password) and stores, under that ID:

This entry is public: other players can see your leaderboard name and scores. The Game also downloads news and event information from Firebase; this does not send any personal information. Google processes this data as our service provider, and your device's IP address is seen by Google's servers when the Game connects. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.

Advertising

The Game shows ads through Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process information from your device, such as the advertising ID, IP address, device model and operating system, approximate location, app usage and ad interaction data. This information is collected by Google under its own privacy policy:

All ads are optional reward videos (for example, a hint, extra coins or a higher mini-game coin limit) that you choose to watch. The Game never shows an ad when you open it or come back to it.

Your choices

In-app purchases

The Game currently has no real-money purchases. If any are added, they will be handled by Google Play, and we will not receive or store your payment details.

Community links

The Game links to our Discord server. If you open it, Discord's own privacy policy applies.

Children

The Game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.

Data security and retention

Game progress on your device is deleted when you uninstall the Game or clear its data. Your Google cloud save is kept in your Google account until you delete it (Google Play Games app > settings > delete your Play Games account and data). Leaderboard entries are kept while the Game is offered, and are sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections; each player can only change their own entry. Data collected by Google AdMob is kept according to Google's policies.

Deleting your leaderboard data

To have your leaderboard entry removed, email us at the address below with your leaderboard name, and we will delete it within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may also have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to its use, and to complain to your data protection authority.

This website

The website deadendescape.com does not use cookies, analytics or ads, and does not collect personal information. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and the Google Play badge from Google, so your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.

Changes to this policy
